Cold War gone hot

I've been playing some Cold War micro tank games using my modern rules with the activation system nicked from Bolt Action rules. This has made for an almost total re-write of the rules but has worked very well for me.

Here is a small game on my small 4x3 table.
The view from the Nato side.
 Hinds to the fore!.
 M1a1s shooting.
Soviet tanks in trouble.

This American platoon waits in ambush.
But here is the big distraction at the moment, I don't make a habit of posting non wargames stuff but this is a bit of an obsession right now. It's a mass produced and cheap little cigar box guitar to play with a slide and I've been twanging away like mad on it.

I'm thinking of building a diddly-bow next!.

Quit painting, playing again

Well I couldn't keep the painting up, but I did manage to paint 156 28mm minis in a month or so. All of them are featured in this post in a couple of different games. I first had a game of Warhammer which I didn't photograph but then I got out the castle for a game of Warhammer Siege of which I took some shots at the end of the game.
Brettonians pretending to be Aquilonians and Empire as Nemedians in a follow up to the previous game.
Climbing onto to the walls is a dangerous pastime.
The battering ram couldn't quite get through the gate in time. The men mustn't have had their Weetabix for breakfast!.
They weren't helped by the defenders pouring boiling oil on their heads either!.
This time Conans men failed to take the castle by the end of turn seven.
 Next up Kings of War.
Perry Miniatures and GW make up the Empire army.
There are crossbows and spears awaiting the fray.
Mantic, GW and Reaper make up the Undead.
Ghosts wailing and moaning, not nice!.
 The necromancer and his undead.
 The wraiths defeat the pikemen.
Crunch!, the knights and the wights clash.
The revenants are finished of by a volley of crossbow bolts.

Getting in before the knights charge the ghouls get very lucky and rout them!.
Those damned wraiths attack the crossbowmen.
The knights defeat the wights, I'm a poet and didn't know it!.
 The Wights are Reaper Bones.
 Outflanking the wraiths.
The necromancer fired a magic lightning bolt at the victorious knights which scored one hit taking the total to nine. The nerve test totalled sixteen and the knights were routed, a lucky result that saved the game for the undead.
The swordsmen meet their doom.
Even this attack failed to kill them Wraiths and so the battle ended a draw.

Loved it though, I reckon Kings is a better game than Warhammer.
