Wild West pics. An ordinary day in Jackson Springs.

"Here's the new filly I promised you, my dear".
"See how fine she is and she likes you already".
Jack has trouble paying his bill. Meanwhile....
The Logan gang meet up with Marshall Law and his posse.
The Grand Hotel's residents look on.
As does a newcomer in town. He looks a little familiar....
The Logan gang are notorious in these parts.
Oblivious, Jack is still arguing with old Lacey.
The Marshall's men mean business.
Logan, in the duster, is the veteran of many a gunbattle though.

These are some staged shots of some of my Legends of the Old West collection, I must get a game in some time soon.

Buildings : Hovels
Figures : Old Glory, Foundry , Dixon and Hinchcliffe (I've had some of these a long time).

Hordes of the things - Barbarians attack the Empire

The largely mercenary Empire army.
The barbarian invaders.
The Empire stronghold.
The barbarians are mainly GW Marauders.
The Empire Hero General.
The barbarians have a Hero too !.
GW Empire knights and Dogs of War.
Tilean pikes and crossbows.
The Empire magician.
The barbarians Behemoth is a rubber kids toy, still slightly sticky years after painting and varnishing.
Conan and his girl, Asgard and Barry Minot miniatures from decades ago.
I fancied a try out of HotT and blu-tacked some of my collection to some temporary card bases.
A good game , I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to using some other armies.

Rapid Fire Russians: SU-152

I picked up these Pegasus 1/72nd SU-152's at Modelzone at half price (£2.99 for a box of two vehicles) a few weeks back. The kits are very nice with only 32 pieces to each vehicle and very easy to assemble. The tracks are moulded on and are simplified but still far superior to Italeri's fast assembly kits.

I painted them today and I'm very pleased with them. The crewman is an old Esci KV-1 chappie that has laid around for years ( I knew that I'd kept him for some reason).
What a fine looking and effective vehicle the SU-152 was, the Russians certainly knew how to build tanks and how to make the best of obsolete vehicles.

Cracking!.

Warmaster High Elves vs.Empire

The High Elves have crossed the river.
A mass of Empire infantry push forward.

Knights confront the fearsome Dragon!.
The Elf Spears are driven back in confusion by the Empire crossbows.

I use a mix of GW, Pendraken and vintage fantasy miniatures from the 80's in these armies.

The ruined temple on the hill was an objective in this battle and gave an occupying wizard a +1 bonus when casting spells.
This was an enjoyable game which resulted in an Empire victory.

Tiger, tiger.

The Tiger is a mean looking tank.

I wargame World War Two in 6mm, 20mm, 28mm and 1/35th scale.
This is my 1/35th Tiger 1, made by Italeri I bought it for about £10 a few years ago.
This is one of my favourite models so I thought I'd show it off.
