We had a nice couple of hours at Prudhoe Castle today. A treasure on our doorstep, Prudhoe Castle is in Northumberland and repelled the besieging Scots.
Oh, I nearly forgot, Prudhoe means "proud hill" because of the successful defence against the Scots according to my boss who was born and bred in Prudhoe.
Nice looking castle, I've not heard of that one before.
