Memoir '44 in 1/72nd scale

I was lucky enough to get a couple of board games recently and have been playing them relentlessly until today. I got these beauties...

Both very good games, I am definitely leaning towards the board game side of the hobby nowadays. Another board game series I like very much is Richard Borgs Commands and Colors. Memoir '44 was the first that I bought and from then I have been hooked so today I dug out some of my 1/72 models and set up a game.
Here are some photos taken at the end of the game.
I just made up my own scenario rather than attempt a published one.
 Germans lurking in the woods.
The Airpower card gave me an excuse to deploy my Spitfire!.
An Airfix Sherman makes a breakthrough.

Great fun!, I have vague plans to make a pair of imaginary armies to play Memoir with.

  1. Nice looking figures and models. I have a particular fondness for the Matchbox JgPzV Jagdpanther - one of my favourites. For some reason, I have 6 JgPzVs. 5 of them Matchbox.

    1. Thanks Ion, I've had that model a long time. I see that they're still available from Revell nowadays, a very nice kit!.
