15mm Lion Rampant : The Rustle.

In this game Baron Conn Dubhmore is heading back to Dunfannion with some stolen sheep while his enemy the hardy Baron Oliver de Norville is trying to stop him.

Dubhmore is deployed at the blue arrows and is heading for the opposite corner (B).

De Norville is in positions A,B and C in order to recover the sheep.

Some of the sheep (they may be goats) stealers.

Conn Dubhmore and chums.

Oliver de Norville and some of his chums, they enter the table at point A. De Norville has boasted thet he will slay Dubhmore.

As the barons spot each other De Norville challenges Dubhmore to a duel.

But the duel is drawn and both men return to their companions and a bigger fight ensues.

Dubhmore falls back, battered.

The fighting spreads.

And Norvilles' spearmen are routed.

Dubhmore is slain!.

His men fight on, they really want those sheep!.

Baron de Norville is forced to retire.

And De Norville is slain too!.

The Dunfannion Pikemen are battling de Norvilles foot knights.

More mayhem as the Halberdiers rout De Norvilles pikes.

The Pikemen flee and a couple of sheep are liberated.

The Dunfannion Halberdiers are routed by a volley of arbalest bolts and more sheep are saved.

The struggle continues.

The Dunfannion Archers are routed by the Norville arbalesters.

The spearmen reluctantly give up the sheep and flee!.

A canny little battle!, a bit delayed because I've been a bit gammy. Torn rib cartilage and a water infection, don't ask!.
