"Ravenfeast" hits the table.

Having painted a few of my Gripping Beast Vikings I thought I would try out the rules that I bought them for, "Ravenfeast".

It makes a nice change from all the "Fantasy Warriors" games that I have played recently. "Ravenfeast" is available free from here link and is a canny little game.

Jarl Einar and his men advance into enemy territory.

The enemy await.

I bet you were expecting more Vikings, eh?, with "Ravenfeast" you can create stats for anything.
The Orcs send some wolf riders to outflank Einar.

Einar forms a shieldwall.

And the Orcs pile in.

As do the wolves.

There are wounds galore!.

The Orc "Hero" bannerman is killed causing a morale test for the Orcs.

Against the odds an Orc archer brings down one of Einars Huscarls with a "Death worthy of a song", this causes a morale test amongst Einar's men.
To Einar's relief the test is passed by all affected.

The wolf riders fail in their attack.

The Orcs begin to scarper.

And the Orc leader is forced to yield.

Me likey!.

I can do a lot with these rules.

    1. Thanks Peter, it was good fun. I had a bigger game last night which featured a Troll which the Vikings dispatched smartly. The Orcs got the win though in the end when Jarl Einar bit the dust and the last few Vikings buggered off!.
