Another 1000 miles done.

I've managed to walk another thousand miles since the end of August last year, that makes 1000 miles in 40 weeks.

I am now lighter by another half stone, that is three stone lighter since lockdown. Also my heart is now in normal sinus rhythm and I feel as fit as a lop.

One of my neighbours, Les often walks with me. Les was a shepherd in the Lake District and he walks between eight and twelve miles a day, not bad considering he is eighty years old!. He is an inspiration and puts a lot of younger folk to shame.

In fact there is quite a community of old gadgies that walk these country lanes, they're amazing really.

Well, I'll maybe get a couple of hundred more miles walked in the next twelve weeks.
And then I'll start again.

Happy days!.

  1. Inspiring. I need to get walking but my knees are shot and I'm usually too knackered to do anything at the end of the day. 🤔

    1. Thanks Mike, I have arthritic knees and had to start my walking very slowly and build my mileage up. The steepest slopes are always painful, though.
